I made it! An hour flight from Victoria to Calgary, 5 hours in the Calgary Airport, 8 hours from Calgary to London and then a half hour underground ride to my hostel (phew). Everything went pretty smoothly so I suppose I can’t complain. My hostel is nice, I’m in a 6 bed dorm but there’s only 4 of us in here right now. The two girls I’ve met seem quite nice. It’s clean and comfortable and there’s always someone at the desk if you need help. Didn’t actually do much these past 2 days (or however you count it with all those wacky time zones) just got from point A to point B. I did go out to buy some things that I couldn’t bring on the plane like shampoo, and something to eat but the real exploring starts tomorrow. In other news, the queen passed away today (the 8th) not too long after I landed so that may make a few things look a little different around here. At any rate, step one of the europe tripe: get to Europe✅️
