Today we had a little less on the agenda, which was probably for the best given how busy we were the day before. The first thing we did today was a bus tea tour of London. It’s exactly what it sounds like, you have afternoon tea on a double decker bus and drive around London to see some of the classic attractions. The tea itself was super yummy with finger sandwiches, mini Quiche, savory muffins, loads of yummy desserts, and a scone with cream and jam. And tea, of course, appropriately served in travel mugs so we didn’t spill on the moving bus. We went by some designer department stores, hyde park, and buckingham palace to name a few, and each time we past a point of interest they would tell us a little about what we were looking at.

Next we were off to the royal Greenwhich observatory. It’s a bit of a trek out to it, and the London rain struck again when we got to the park. So much so that as we were walking up the incline to the observatory, a river of water was on its way down. The observatory itself is two buildings, one housing info about early astronomy and time keeping and one with all the telescopes etc. And of course outside we saw the prime meridian. Didn’t take us too long to get through, but a neat stop all the same.

And thay was all for today, we spent the evening in, just taking it easy and drying out after the torrential downpour at the observatory.
