October 18th – Barcelona Day 2

Today was a bit of a rest day. While the tour last night was very fun, I definitely needed a bit of a rest today to recover since we didn’t get home until late. We did try to go to Park Güell, another of Gaudi’s, but the tickets were all sold out for that day so we bought tickets for the next day instead.

Later in the day I went to the science museum. I actually really liked this museum, and because I went late in the afternoon on a Wednesday it was pretty quiet. They had lots of cool interactive exhibits to demonstrate scientific phenomenon as well as what they called a “flooded rainforest”.

It was like a greenhouse full of tropical trees and ferns, as well as a large pond with turtles, very large fish and stingrays.

On the ground they had a capybara, some terrariums with creepy crawlies, and in the trees there were some birds that were pink and had flat bills, maybe ibis? I’ll have to ask mum when I get home.

And that was that for the day. I wanted to get to bed early to try and catch up on some sleep.
