Last day in Barcelona! First on the agenda for today was a trip to the chocolate museum (don’t have to tell me twice). My ticket for this museum was actually an edible bar of chocolate that had a QR code on the back which was kind of fun (and tasty). The museum was a mix of chocolate sculptures, which were amazing, and lots of info about how chocolate came to Europe, how it was used, and how it changed over time.

Just a short walk away was the Picasso museum which was next. I’m sure getting my Picasso fix this trip. Even though I had already been to the Picasso museum in Paris, there was still lots I didn’t know about his work and this museum had a lot of his early paintings, some sculptures, and some drawings in addition to his very famous styles of painting. There was yet another audio guide which I very much appreciated as it helped me understand what I was looking at.

Both museums are in an area with lots of shops and restaurants and just generally a lot going on, so I spent some time just wandering the streets, enjoying the warm weather, and taking in the city.

This marks the end of my solo travels, as tomorrow I head briefly back to France to meet up with Mum and Dad before we all head to Italy for the last leg of the adventure!
