Europe round 2! Josh kindly drove me to the airport today for my mid day flight out of Victoria. The flight from Victoria to Calgary was uneventful, if a little bumpy, and then I had a 5 hour layover in Calgary before taking the overnight flight to London. I didn’t get a lot of sleep on the plane, but enough that when Shae-Linn picked me up from the airport I was able to be steered towards the hostel. I had a nap in the afternoon and then we went to the Sky garden which was close by. The Sky garden I think is in an office building but the garden is on the 35th (top) floor. Admittedly given the name I was expecting more of a garden, when in reality is more of a bar/lounge area with lots trees and ferns on one side. Still quite nice to have the foliage and it is a beautiful view of the city. We had a reservation at one of the bars so we had a drink and a few appies to nibble on. It was quite a nice place and nice to have some time to catch up while my brain caught up to the time zone. The travel was all pretty smooth, even if it was a long day (days), so you can’t ask for more than that!
