Started the day with a trip to the market. Yesterday a lady with a dog in her bike basket (that we got to pet) told us about a little market on this side of the canal so I thought I would check it out. It was pretty small and was mostly produce and fish and like that but still nice to go and see. Then I carried on to the flower market which was not too far away. Since it’s no longer spring they didn’t have a lot of fresh flowers but they did have lots of seeds and bulbs and gardening supplies. Later on in the afternoon I went out with Brooke and Anita and another girl in our room named Yuzu who is from Japan and we went to a museum in the red light district that was all about the history of the red light distric, how it started out and how it became what it is today. Then we went to dinner at a little place around the corner which was super yummy. We got a bunch of different things to share and everything was delicious.

Overall a much more chill day today, even slept in a bit to recover from all the adventures.

So glad to see you are having such a good trip and meeting so many new friends. Would love to have been with you at the Van Gogh museum especially. Love the photos. Dutch architecture is so interesting.
The Van Gogh museum was one of my favourites of the trip so far! I was worried that most of it would go over my head (and I’m sure a lot did) but the way they had it laid out and with the audio guide I definitely felt like I was understanding enough to enjoy myself.
You took pictures of your food!! It looks yummy 😋
I’ve heard that fries and different varieties of mayo are very popular street food in Amsterdam.
